On Friday August 14th Amira performs during the opening ceremony of the newly developed Tops International Arena in Valkenswaard, The Netherlands.
On May 12 Amira performed together with Opera Familia in the Cardo Theatre in Groesbeek (The Netherlands). This concert, titled Swing along on ’45
, was organized to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Dutch liberation.
Amira shines on the cover of edition 2(76) of the glossy Luxury Magazine. In no less than 7 pages, featuring beautiful pictures of Amira and her family, the young opera singer tells about hot it’s like to suddenly become famous, but she also tells about her daily life, experiences, dreams and her impressions.
Luxury Magazine, carrying the slogan “magazine for the luxury & exquisite lifestyle”, is being sold in the republics of Armenia and Georgia, and is published bilingual (in English and Russian).
Amira’s charity organization, Stichting Gelukskinders, opened their own web shop. You’ll find special fans products there, among which signed posters, sets of postcards and of course Amira’s debuut album Amira at a very special price.
Sales revenue directly goes to Stichting Gelukskinders, Amira’s very own charity organization which supports her to further extend her playgrounds project.

During the national finals of the SanRemo Junior Festival, which was held last Saturday in Malta and which could be viewed live on television, Amira sang not less than 3 songs.

On Saturday April 4th, Amira will fly to Malta. Holland’s youngest opera singer, who only celebrated her 11th birthday last week, will do a guest performance during Malta’s national finals of the SanRemo Junior Festival. The winner of the this evening will compete with other national winners during the finals on Wednesday April 15th in SanRemo, Italy. Below is a short impression of the festival.

This week, the first excerpt of Amira during her fundraising concert in Lelystad (on November 19 2014) appeared on the web site of Stichting Gelukskinders, the foundation which was established in order to support Amira with her playgrounds-project in South Africa.
During the BT Christmas Concert in december, Amira enchanted the audience in the Royal Albert Hall in London. This time, with her interpretation of O Holy Night, a Christmas classic she sang for the first time in public.
During the concert, filming was not allowed. Also, we don’t know if a professional video registration of the concert has been made. So, not very usable video material available, but luckily some more useful audio recordings landed on various smart phones in the audience. On Decmeber 21st Amira starred in the Christmas edition of the popular French TV-show Du Côté de chez Dave which was aired by FR3, French national television. In this special episode Amira performed her Ave Maria, and a few Dutch Christmas carols for show host Dave -who is also known as Wouter Levenbach, a Dutch singer who went to France in the Sixties and became very popular there.
On November 8th, in the Pontifical Urbaniana University in Vatican City, Amira received the International Giuseppe Sciacca Award 2014 for her extraordinary skills in the area of music and singing.
The fundraising concert which was organized on November 19th in Lelystad, and where Amira and Paul Potts gave the best of themselves, was a big success.
Holland’s youngst opera singer, the 10-year-old Amira Willighagen from Nijmegen, who won Holland’s Got Talent last year at the age of only 9, and has performed in the US, Latin-America, South-Africa and various European countries, will shine on November 19th during a fundraising concert in Lelystad, the Netherlands.
