This afternoon AmiraFans received some more photographs of the opening of Amira’s first playground in Ikageng, a township near Potchefstroom. The official opening took plact on March 5th, when Amira handed over a cheque and opened the playground for the children of Ikageng.
Potchefstroom – “I am very grateful that I can be here. Nelson Mandela once said that children should be able to play freely. I’ve listened to him and decided to build this playground.”
Those were the words the Dutch singing sensation Amira Willighagen (9) spoke to the excited children of the township Ikageng near the city. Read more

Amira Willighagen, the 9-year-old winner of Holland’s Got Talent, always dreamed of building the children of the Ikageng township in Potchefstroom, South-Africa a playground, but never had the opportunity… until now.
