In Nijmegen (Netherlands) as well as Johannesburg preparations are taking place for a unique event. For the first time in history three Got Talent-winners -among whom Amira- will perform together in a great concert.
By the name of Paul Potts And Friends, the concert will take place on 15th, 16th and 17th of August at the Teatro Montecasino in Johannesburg. During this concert Paul Potts will perform together with Amira and James Bhemgee. Initially, there would be only 2 concerts on August 16th and 17, but due tuo popular demand a 3rd concert date has been added. A radio commercial was aired at Jacaranda FM in Johannesburg to announce the extra concert.
In 2007, Paul Potts won the first series of Britain’s Got Talent. James Bhemgee, who got discovered during his work as street duster in Cape Town, became the winner of SA’s Got Talent in 2010. Amira won Holland’s Got Talent 2013, released her debut album in March 2014 -which became Gold-awarded within two weeks, and has recently been shining at the Vrijthof (Big Square) in Maastricht, together with world-famous violinist / conductor André Rieu and his Johann Strauß Orchestra.
For Amira, Paul Potts And Friends isn’t the first concert in South-Africa, the country where her mother originates from. On February 28th and March 1st 2014, she did her very first international performance during the Starlight Classics Concerts at the Vergelegen wine estate in Somerset-West. Also, coming weekend she’ll be performing at the Durban version of the Starlight Classics Concerts.
Also, Amira launched her own charity-project in South-Africa by opening a playground in the township of Ikageng, near Potchefstroom, which partially has been realized with Amira’s earnings.
